Minimalist Leather Wallet by Huskk review

One of the most common minimalist product categories is wallets. Today we’re trying to find out what the best options are.
About a week ago in our “Quick Pick” section on MinimalismLab Facebook page we featured  the “Naked Portemonnaie” by Craftory. While it sure looks good and is functional, then it also has a pretty high price tag. So today we’re trying to find cheaper alternatives to this $60 minimalist leather wallet, which is one of the most stylish wallets for guys. Here’s where the Huskk minimalist leather wallet comes into play.

At just $30, the Slim Front Pocket Leather Wallet by HUSKK is pretty damn amazing!

What makes it minimalist?

The main problem with your average wallet is that it has a coin pocket. In 99% of cases this is the main culprit in making your wallet bulky, ugly and heavy. The other is excessive number of card pockets. Physical loyalty cards are on the way out and let’s face it – at least of them you weren’t using anyway. After moving to a slim wallet I only carry my ID, driver’s license and credit/debit card. Surprisingly, this has proven to be more than enough. And if you have a car, then keeping your coins in the car and using them for parking is a great idea.

Design and extra features

I really like the look and feel of the Huskk wallet. It hits all the minimalism marks while still looking classical and stylish. The aged leather is also a really nice touch and as it turns out it only gets better looking over time. One downside with leather is that while it’s somewhat flexible, then if you keep 4 cards under the strap for months and then remove 2 of them, then the leather strap might not hold them too well anymore. This doesn’t really happen that often and there’s an easy fix. Just take all the cards out, make the leather a bit damp with a cloth and leave it overnight. Then it shrinks back to original size. Apart from this small quirk I really have zero complaints.

The wallet can hold 6-8 cards (3-4 on each side) which is plenty for most people and another nice feature is that it blocks RFID signals. This means you never have to worry about the security of your contactless cards.

While the craftsmanship and polish may be slightly better for wallets like the ones from Craftory, then for getting a classical minimalist leather wallet for under $20 is a bargain of the century and it’s one of the most stylish wallets for guys. It’s also a really good gift idea, so it might make sense to get it now before prices start to rise before Christmas.
